Atomix 420 SC

Hi Roger

I just want to email you about how happy I am with my new 420SC. I was looking for a boat to replace my aging tinny and was expecting to have to buy an inflatable. However the 420 has ticked more boxes for me that any other option, and the price is so good.

I’d highly recommend this boat to others as its stable, light, very roomy, planes really quickly, easily washed and a joy to own. Not to mention the great service that I’ve received from Atomix Boats.

Great boat. Great job. Keep it up.

Regards

Matthew Lord

I would just like to pass on to the team at Atomix how happy we are with our new boat, the 600HT. From the first time I stepped foot in the yard I have been very impressed with the staff at Atomix who were more than happy to spend time with us. I largely dealt with Roger Donovan who has continually emphasised his belief that happy customers are critical to the success of any business. Although I use it primarily as a recreational fishing boat, I have also had picnics on secluded beaches with the family, taken friends wakeboarding, and over-nighted in it on remote islands. I have tested the boat in rough seas, high winds and fantastic conditions and am very happy with the setup and performance. Since purchasing the boat I have found the after-sales service from Atomix second to none, with regular communication and excellent support. I believe the 600HT is a very good mix of family and fishing boat, and I look forward to many days of boating enjoyment in the future.

Many thanks to the team at Atomix Boats, from the McGowan family.

To Roger and the team at Atomix,

Just a quick note to say Thank You for the package you put together for us.
In the last 12 months our boat has been to numerous sailing regattas, being a safety boat at times and a spectator boat on others. It is the perfect vessel for these events, as the windsurfers are able to park up by us to catch a break, or eat their lunch - sometimes we've had over 10 competitors sitting on the sides. During these regattas we have also used it as a tug boat to tow in Opti's and Lasers with gear damage. Our whole family is able to enjoy our boat on non-sailing weekends for other activities, either island hopping, diving, fishing or wakeboarding. No matter what the conditions we always seem to stay dry and feel safe onboard.

Overall we find it very spacious and can spend a full day on the water comfortably.

Thanks again,
From the Rutter family.

New kid on the block in the local inflatable market is Atomix Boats. Founded in 2005, the NZ-owned company uses local designers to develop models suited to local conditions. Its boats are based around several core hull designs including an 8.2m RIB, an 8.2m full GRP hull and a 5m RIB.

Trade A Boat New Zealand review on the Atomix 500 RIB.

Atomix is certainly not a name that has been widely known in the New Zealand marine scene; understandably so, since the company has only been around for about six months in New Zealand. What sets the company apart from others is its production methods, with the boats designed, engineered and funded from New Zealand, but manufactured on the other side of the world, in China! Freddy Foote checks out a couple of the first prototype models.

Propeller Magazine review on the Atomix SC820 & CC820.

Centre console configurations have never achieved significant market penetration in New Zealand, despite their relative popularity in other parts of the world. So when invited to test the "fishability" of the prototype Atomix CC820, well, it’s a tough job but someone had to do it.
